John William Lyter was born on Monday, 15 November 1948 at Greenwood Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Roy Curtis Lyter and Margaret Mae Gelnett. John married, at the age of 60 Linda Arnold on Wednesday, 11 February 2009. He died from injuries sustained on his farm while cutting fire wood on Sunday, 11 December 2011 at the age of 63 years and 26 days at Millerstown, Greenwood Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Leiningers Lutheran Cemetery, Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
