     William Palmer Long was born on Sunday, 20 December 1942 on the family farm at Liverpool Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of William Clarence Long and Susan Maria Lyter. He went by Palmer. William married Joan Yvette Summy circa 1967. He died on Saturday, 5 June 2010 at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 16 days at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
