Roy Clarence Long was born on Saturday, 7 August 1920. He was the son of William Clarence Long and Susan Maria Lyter. Roy married Ruth Maxine Foose, daughter of David Foose and Lottie McGowan. He died on Wednesday, 31 August 1994 at the age of 74 years and 24 days at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
