     Barner William Lyter was born on Wednesday, 21 February 1917 at Millerstown RD, Greenwood Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Elmer William Lyter and Margaret Alice Barner. Barner married, at the age of 26 Florence Audell Shirk, age 19, daughter of Edgar S. Shirk and Clare E. Graybill, on Wednesday, 8 September 1943. He died on Wednesday, 18 January 1989 at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 28 days at Community Hospital, Sunbury, Upper Augusta Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
