Ruth Evelyn Lyter was born on Monday, 1 September 1913 at Pfoutz Valley, Perry County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Elmer William Lyter and Margaret Alice Barner. Ruth married, at the age of 25 George Albert Strawser, age 29, son of Edward Strawser and Mary Alice Funk, on Saturday, 29 April 1939. She died on Monday, 9 June 1980 at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 8 days. She was buried at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
