     Robert Eugene Barner was born on Tuesday, 24 December 1929 at West Perry Township, Snyder County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Elmer Newton Barner and Blanche Ludella Basom. His nickname was Whitey. Robert married, at the age of 20 Marion L. Goss, age 16, daughter of Howard H. Goss and Agnes Klumick, on Wednesday, 25 October 1950. He died on Sunday, 29 December 1991 at the age of 62 years and 5 days at Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown, South Derry Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on Tuesday, 31 December 1991 at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown, South Derry Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
