     Charles Wilbur Barner was born on Sunday, 19 July 1925 at Richfield, Monroe Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Elmer Newton Barner and Blanche Ludella Basom. His nickname was Willby. Charles married (1), at the age of 21 Nola Marietta VanHorne, age 24 on Saturday, 7 September 1946. Charles married (2), at the age of 57 Etta Verna Dysle Berger on Saturday, 19 March 1983 at Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. He died on Friday, 16 October 2009 at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 27 days at E.C.C. Retirement Village-Stoneridge Village Health Care Center, Myerstown, Pennsylvania. He was buried on Friday, 23 October 2009 at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
