She was the daughter of Henry Edward Barner and Priscilla Elizabeth Uplinger. Verna married, at the age of 26 John L. Moyer, age 26, son of Harvey Moyer and Annie [?], on Saturday, 25 September 1926 at Trinity Evangelican Church, Middleburg, Franklin Township, Snyder County, Pennsylvania. She died on Tuesday, 27 June 1995 at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 18 days at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. She was buried at Zion Church Cemetery, Middleburg RD, Franklin Township, Snyder County, Pennsylvania.
