     Howard Barner Gipe was born on Friday, 14 November 1919 at Paxtonia, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Henry Clayton Gipe and Blanche Beulah Barner. His nickname was Barney. Howard married, at the age of 20 Beatrice Romaine Irwin, age 19 on Friday, 16 February 1940. He died on Friday, 1 January 1988 at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 18 days at Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
