     Clarence Curtis Gipe was born on Tuesday, 22 August 1916 at Penbrook, Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Henry Clayton Gipe and Blanche Beulah Barner. Clarence married, at the age of 24 Irene Mildred Hetrick, age 17 on Saturday, 16 August 1941. He died on Saturday, 2 October 1982 at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 10 days. He was buried at Shell's Church Cemetery, Shellsville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
