     Edwin Clarence Bartges was born on Wednesday, 4 October 1882 at Booneville, Logan Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of James L Bartges and Jennie E. Nestlerode. Edwin married Lida E. Greninger, daughter of William Henry Greninger and Ella M. Huber. He died due to a stroke at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, 15 December 1961 at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 11 days at Lock Haven Hospital, Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He was interred at Saint Paul's Evangelical Church Cemetery, Logan Mills, Logan Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
