     Alford John Herlocher was born on Friday, 15 October 1920 at Michigan. He was the son of Harvey Quigg Herlocher and Elizabeth Pearl Alford. Alford married, at the age of 32 Mary Lorene New, age 34, daughter of William Franklin New and Eva Jane Kirby, on Tuesday, 4 August 1953 at Lovington, New Mexico. He died of complications due to diabetes on Tuesday, 7 January 1997 at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 23 days at Cochran Memorial Hospital, Morton, Cochran County, Texas. He was buried at Morton Memorial Cemetery, Morton, Cochran County, Texas.
