Pierce F. Barner was born on Saturday, 18 September 1852. He was the son of Herman Barner and Catharine Kerstetter. He died on Thursday, 4 July 1895 at the age of 42 years, 9 months and 16 days at Sawmill, Mount Wolf, East Manchester Township, York County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Zion Cemetery, Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
