     Richard Lee Barner was born on Thursday, 22 July 1943 at Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Walter Calvin Barner and Lyda nmi Smith. Richard married, at the age of 25 Valerie Lynn Menhart on Saturday, 3 August 1968. He died after battling with cancer on Wednesday, 11 March 2009 at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 17 days at Johnson City, Broome County, New York.
