Lyda nmi Smith was born on Thursday, 26 December 1901 at McElhattan, Wayne Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Harry Smith and Clara Floe Miller. Lyda married, at the age of 15 Walter Calvin Barner, age 21, son of William Andrew Jackson Barner and Ardella May Greak, on Saturday, 17 November 1917. She died on Friday, 14 June 1985 at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 19 days at Lock Haven Hospital, Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. She was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Cedar Hill, Lamar Township (near Mill Hall), Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
