Alan married (1) Loretta Jane Pierce. Alan married (2), at the age of 38 Marianne Peterson Nester, age 45 on Monday, 12 August 1974 at Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He died on Friday, 11 January 1985 at the age of 48 years, 6 months and 9 days at Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on Monday, 14 January 1985 at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Dunnstable Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
