     Lucy V. Whitman was born in February 1868 at Venango County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Abraham B. Whitman and Joannah Wilt. Lucy married, at the age of 27 Joseph C. Rice, age 37 on Monday, 23 December 1895. She died on Sunday, 16 February 1947 at the age of 79 years.
