     George William Wigfield was born on Friday, 21 December 1888 at Monroe Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Simon P. Wigfield and Maria E. Kennard. He married, at the age of 23, Della Sarah Whitfield, age 20, daughter of Benjamin Franklin Whitfield and Carrie Eleanor Barton, at high noon on Wednesday, 4 December 1912 by the Rev. T. P. Garland in her parents home at Crystal Spring, Brush Creek Township, Fulton County, Pennsylvania. He died due to Heart Disease and Uremia on Monday, 17 May 1965 at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 26 days at Altoona Hospital, Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on Thursday, 20 May 1965 at Everett Cemetery, Everett, West Providence Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
