     Dale Vernon Barner was born on Sunday, 18 March 1928 at Oval, Limestone Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Warren Dean Barner and Margaret Evelyn Wentzel. Dale married Martha Anne Stroup, daughter of Harry Donald Stroup and Sarah Ruth Fry. He died after a lengthy illness on Thursday, 27 December 2001 at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 9 days at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. He was buried on Wednesday, 2 January 2002 at Oval Cemetery, Oval, Limestone Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
