     John R. Barner was born on Saturday, 3 May 1919 at Oval, Limestone Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Guy Fountain Barner and Myrtle Viola Epler. John married (1), at the age of 23 Aneita Welshans, age 28, daughter of Emert Welshans and Nellie Getgen, on Monday, 6 July 1942 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. John married (2), at the age of 56 Jeanne Elizabeth Laubach, age 58, daughter of Clyde Franklin Laubach and Pearl Angelene Shadle, on Monday, 12 April 1976 at Pennsylvania. He died on Friday, 2 May 2008 at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 29 days at Gatehouse Hospice, Divine Providence Hospital., Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on Tuesday, 6 May 2008 at Oval Cemetery, Oval, Limestone Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
