Chauncey Franklin Royer was born on Monday, 27 October 1890 at Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Cyrus T. Royer and Ida Virginia Herlacher. Chauncey married Pearl O. Frank, daughter of Jerias Frank. Chauncey became the step-father of Cleston P. Albright, with his marriage to Pearl. He died in December 1963 at the age of 73 years and 1 month.
