     Clyde Furst Barner Jr. was born on Thursday, 19 July 1906 at Renovo, Chapman Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Clyde Furst Barner and Maude M. Hevner. Clyde married, at the age of 26 Myrtle I. Sechrist, age 27, daughter of John Sechrist and Matilda J. Schnowden, on Thursday, 4 May 1933 at New York, New York, Myrtle and her third cousin, and close friend from childhood, Mary Eliza Sechrist, were married the same day aboard the M. V. Britannic in the harbor of New York City by the Rev. T. H. Williams of Blossburg, PA. The girls wanted to be married by that minister who was about to leave for Europe, so they arranged to meet aboard the ship at dockside and have the ceremonies there. This news item and a picture taken on the pier were used nationwide by the Associated
Press. He died on Wednesday, 27 January 1988 at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 8 days at Volusia County, Florida.
